Friday, November 3, 2023, Semarang – The Faculty of Medicine at Diponegoro University (Undip) will host a unique event in the form of a guest lecture on the topic “Culture and Education System in the Netherlands.” This activity will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 13.00 to 15.00 WIB, at Meeting Room Building A, RSG FK UNDIP Tembalang.
Bas P.H. Adriaansen, MD, an academic from Radboud University in the Netherlands, was the resource person on this occasion. Dr. Adriaansen will address the Dutch education system in his presentation, offering Undip Medical Faculty students with an in-depth understanding of the distinctions and benefits of that country’s education system.
The primary goal of this exercise is to equip students with a better knowledge of the Dutch educational system. Aside from that, it is intended that this lecture would extend students’ awareness of Dutch culture, which is also vital in comprehending the Dutch education system.
This guest lecture will take the shape of a conversation, allowing students to interact with the resource person directly. This activity is intended to broaden knowledge not only for students but also for teaching staff at the Undip Faculty of Medicine. It is intended that by bringing lecturers from Radboud University, there would be a meaningful interchange of ideas and knowledge about educational methods and policies in the Netherlands.
This program provides participants with the chance to obtain firsthand experience of the world of global education, discover cultural differences, and broaden their knowledge outside the medical domain.
