The Delegation of the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University, won the General Champion at the Regional Medical Olympiad (RMO) Region 3 2022, which was held at the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) on August 1-4, 2022. The delegation team consists of 10 people who succeeded in making the institution proud by bringing home four gold medals and one silver medal.
This year FK Undip sent five delegation teams to five branches of RMO Region 3, namely Cardiorespiratory, Neuropsychiatric, Digestive, Urogenital, and Musculoskeletal. The five teams made it through the preliminary round to the final round and achieved proud achievements. The achievements include:
1. Cardiorespiratory Gold Medal in the names of R. Daniel Valentino Chrismara and Kirani Nova Dilla;
2. Gold Medal for Neuropsychiatry in the names of Sia, Alberth Kristandy Kurniawan, and Syafril Fahmi Hidayat;
3. Gold Medal Digestive branch in the name of Alya Azkaa Adawya and Mukti Sadewo;
4. Gold Medal for Urogenital branch in the names of Hadisurya Sugiharto Setiadi and Raihan Dhia;
5. Silver Medal for the Musculoskeletal Branch in Hanif Nurrifqi and Nassya Priliandari.
RMO Region 3 is a prestigious Olympics in the field of medicine organized by the Indonesian Medical Student Senate Association (ISMKI) Region 3. This annual competition is an event for medical students in Central Java, DIY, and Kalimantan to test their academic abilities.
In collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing (FKIK), UMY as the host, ISMKI region three also collaborated with the Association of Indonesian Medical Education Institutions (AIPKI) Region 4 to support the success of this event.
The series of olympiads that the delegates had to face was quite challenging because they were not only in the form of multiple choice questions but also students were tested with materials on the identification of laboratory preparations, OSCE (Objective Structural Clinical Examination), SOCA (Student Oral Case Analysis), and LCT (Rapid Response Competition). With the persistence of the delegates, accompanied by guidance and prayers from the supervisors and all residents of Undip Medical Faculty, the RMO delegation won the General Champion title.
